Born on this day in 1920 – Alan MacNaughtan, actor who appeared in Frankenstein Created Woman, Journey to the Unknown, and Out of this World.

On this day in 1955 – The Atomic Man is released.



In Doctor Who on this day in 1967 saw the first use of an optical special effect as a Cyberman blasts a hole in the wall of a moonbase with a space cannon.
