Born on this day in
1948 – Matthew Corbett, Doctor Who actor. He played Jones in the
Doctor Who story The Dæmons.

1960 – Chris Barrie, actor Red Dwarf's Arnold J Rimmer.
Born on this day in
1961 – Orla Brady, actor who has appeared in Doctor Who, Fringe,
and The Deep. She played Tasha Lem in the Doctor Who television story
The Time of the Doctor.
On this day in 1987
Patrick Troughton died at the age of 67 while attending the Magnum
Opus II science fiction convention in Columbus Georgia, USA. He
suffered a heart attack at 7:25 just after ordering breakfast. He
died instantly. Troughton was cremated in the US and his ashes were
returned to the UK where his wife scattered them benaeth a newly
planted tree in his favourite Bushy Park, Teddington, London.
