Born on this day in 1920 – Leo McKern, actor who has appeared in Space: 1999, The Day the Earth Caught Fire, and X the Unknown.

Born on this day 1938 – actress Nancy Fish who has appeared in Early Edition, The X Files, The Mask, Death Becomes Her, Tales from the Crypt, Werewolf, and Howard the Duck.

Cthulhu Mythos Trivia:

On this day in 1937 - Georg Fischer dies in an earthquake that destroys his West Coast home. ("The Terror from the Depths," Leiber).

In Doctor Who:

On this day in 1968 the sonic screwdriver made its first appearance.
