Born on this day in 1850 – Edward Bellamy, science fiction writer, probably most famous for his utopian novel Looking Backwards. The novel is set in what when it was published the distant future year 2000!

Born on this day in 1919 – Ed Hinton, actor, he made appearances in Lost Continent, Red Planet Mars, Space Patrol, Captain Midnight, and Adventures of Superman.

Born on this day in 1919 – Strother Martin, actor who appeared in The Invaders, Lost in Space, Twilight Zone, The Magnetic Monster, and Worlds without End)

Born on this day 1931 – Leonard Nimoy, actor, best known for his role in Star Trek as Mr Spock he also made apperances in Star Trek, Fringe, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Brave New World, The Lost World, The Outer Limits, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Twilight Zone, Them!, and Zombies of the Stratosphere.



Doctor Who Trivia:

On this day in 2005 The first episode of Doctor Who for nine years was broadcast. It attracts an audience of 10.8 million viewers.

This day also saw the return of the The Auton’s last seen in 1971 in The Terror of the Autons.
