Bresslaw played the Ice Warrior Varga in the story The Ice Warriors.
He was considered for the part of the Monster in the 1957 film The
Curse of Frankenstein but lost out on the part which went to
Christopher Lee.
Born on this day in
1937 – Tom Courtenay, actor who played The Navigator in The Day the
Fish Came Out.
Born on this day in
1964 – Lee Evans, actor who appeared in Doctor Who, and The Fifth
Element.
In Doctor Who stand
up comedian Evans played Professor Malcolm Taylor in the episode
Planet of the Dead.
