Born on this day in
1927 – Geoffrey Palmer, actor. In Doctor Who he appeared in three
Doctor Who television stories: as Edward Masters in Doctor Who and
the Silurians, the Administrator in The Mutants and Hardaker in
Voyage of the Damned. He is one of a handful of actors to appear both
in the classic and the revived series.

Born on this day in
1940 – David Collings, actor - Doctor Who, Blakes 7, UFO, Scrooge.
He appeared in several Doctor Who television stories: as Vorus in
Revenge of the Cybermen, Poul in The Robots of Death, and Mawdryn in
Mawdryn Undead.
He also played an
alternative incarnation of the Doctor in the Big Finish Productions
audio drama Full Fathom Five and would return to his role of Poul,
now Paulus, in Magic Bullet Productions' series of Kaldor City
audios. He also read the audiobook of the novelisation of Scream of
the Shalka.
